2. What these terms cover
Selekt is a photo- and video-proofing tool for photographers and videographers, available at app.getselekt.com. These terms cover only the marketing website. The Selekt application itself — including the Free plan and the paid Pro subscription — is offered under separate Terms of Service that you accept when you create an account. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the merchant of record for all our orders: the purchase contract is concluded with Paddle under Paddle's buyer terms, and Paddle handles customer-service enquiries and refunds for payments, including the 30-day money-back guarantee described in the app.
3. Prices and offers shown on this site
- Prices and plan descriptions on this site are for information. The binding price, currency, and plan contents are those shown in the app at checkout.
- Launch pricing: accounts created while launch pricing is offered keep that price for the first year of their subscription. The exact conditions are those stated in the app at the time of purchase.
- We may change prices, plans, and features for the future; changes never apply retroactively to a subscription period you have already paid for.
- Nothing on this site is a guarantee of specific features, availability, or compatibility with third-party software (including Adobe Lightroom Classic).
4. Intellectual property
All content on this site — text, graphics, logos, product design, screenshots, and code — is owned by Tomáš Habr or used under licence, and is protected by copyright law. You may view the site and share links to it. You may not copy, scrape, republish, or commercially exploit the content without prior written permission. "Selekt" and the Selekt logo are unregistered marks of Tomáš Habr. Adobe and Lightroom are trademarks of Adobe Inc. — Selekt is an independent product and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Adobe.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- disrupt or attempt to disrupt the operation or security of the site,
- submit e-mail addresses you are not authorised to use, or perform automated or bulk requests,
- use the site in any way that violates applicable law.
6. No warranty
The website is provided free of charge, "as is" and "as available". Product previews, screenshots, and feature descriptions are illustrative; features and prices may change over time, and the binding description of the service is the one in the app. To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranties regarding availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose of this website.
7. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Czech law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damage arising from the use of this free website or from reliance on information published on this website. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including liability for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, or your mandatory rights as a consumer.
8. Third-party services and links
The site links to third-party services (for example Instagram, Facebook, and X) and uses third-party providers described in the Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party sites.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms — for example when the site or the way it links to the application changes. The "Last updated" date above always reflects the current version. Material changes will be highlighted on this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
10. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. Disputes will be resolved by the competent Czech courts. If you are a consumer in the EU, you also keep any mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence.
Consumers in the Czech Republic may use out-of-court dispute resolution provided by the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce, Štěpánská 796/44, 110 00 Prague 1, coi.cz).
